Not all of the shows are like this, but watch Giada DeLaurentis or Nigella Lawson on Foodnetwork. It seems that they are orgasmic when they talk about food. Is this a way to get men to watch these shows are is there some other reason for this sexually sugestive acting?

I absolutely agree. The ones that aren't "Mmmmm... Ohmmmm.." use such tired adjectives to describe the food that they might as well be eating sand. "Now we add some beautiful radishes to our beautiful stew." Their radish-looking husband must be goregous.

No..thats dumb..none of them are sexual but on take home chef, the girls flirt with him sometimes... theyre 'orgasmic' when talking about food because its their passion..they have to try to get people into it..but im sure they dont think sex while making food..i think only obeese people do that..?
I don't trust skinny chefs. Theres something though about watching a woman squeeze a lemon by hand that just turns me on.
I bet its purposely done exactly for that reason - viewership. Like the saying goes sex sells and the sexier it looks to demonstrate cooking (which could be considered boring) the more people (esp the opposite sex, in this case men who are even less likely to watch the food network) will watch the show over and over.
Of course they're going to be sexually sugestive! Sex sells... and their ratings go up! LOL!
I don't have "The Cable" or care to watch TFN but this sounds like U have a point. I would imagine that its prolly some sort of ploy.
Us women get excited about other things besides sex ya know. I would like to think guys do too.

I doubt it is just to attract perves into watching cooking shows.

Some of the cooks show too much cleevage (when they shouldn't) - like the Italian Chick %26amp; 30 minute meal chick.

While the cooks that SHOULD be showing all the cleevage that they have aren't showing nearly enough - see the 'assets' that the Semi-Homemade lady has. WOW. She is freaking hot. AND she makes cocktails EVEY episode. I think that I am in love with her..................
