Where do game shows get all their prizes and money from?

Besides, sponsors and everything....where do shows like Wheel of Fortune, Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, etc. get money for contestants? I mean ABC has to run out of money sometime!

Sponsors.

For shows such as "Wheel Of Fortune" that are syndicated, they sell barter time on their ads and certain proceeds from the ads go into the money pool for the show.

And in the case of actual prizes such as cars, trips, etc, the sponsors offer the actual product in lieu of cash money in terms of sponsoring their products.

Mostly it is from sponsors. Also shows like Jeopardy are syndicated which means television stations actually pay to air the show. Imagine hundreds of stations paying thousands of dolaars a year to run your show. That is why you will see Jeopardy change stations yearly in certain markets.
they get a lot of the money from the phone calls people make, calls cost 锟? etc etc, they get 80p or something silly so 10,000 people ring in 8 grand in the pocket.
Every 15 minutes, when they break for a commercial, you are watching the adds of the companies that paid the networks/programs the money they use to give the prizes away.
